On 28–29 April, partners of the FURN5.0 project met in Milan at FederlegnoArredo's headquarters to review progress and plan upcoming activities. The meeting was a key moment to coordinate efforts as the project moves into its second year.

Discussions focused on finalising a series of practical cards that will help furniture companies better understand and apply the principles of Industry 5.0. These cards will form part of a guide that is currently being developed and will be tested with input from a group of external experts over the coming weeks.

Partners also began planning an interactive online tool to help companies assess where they stand in their Industry 5.0 journey. This tool will be also shaped by feedback collected during a workshop which will take place in June.

Skills and training were another important topic. The team agreed to work with education and training organisations to propose ways to better equip workers with the green, digital and soft skills needed for the future.

The meeting also covered upcoming communication activities, including news updates, and the presentation of FURN5.0 resources at dissemination events.

The FURN5.0 project aims to support the furniture sector in becoming more innovative, sustainable and people-centred. Stay tuned for all updates on www.furn50.eu!
