What is a CETM - Circular Economy Transition Manager in the furniture and habitat sector?

The furniture industry is undergoing a process of profound transformation. The transition from linear models, based on "extract, use and dispose", to circular models requires new skills, new strategies and professionals capable of leading this change.

This is where the figure of the Circular Economy Transition Manager (CETM) comes in: a hybrid profile that combines strategy, sustainable design, innovation, systemic vision and the ability to mobilise all actors in the value chain.

A CETM is, in essence:

  • An orchestrator of change, integrating circular practices in all areas of the company.
  • A facilitator, connecting teams, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • A strategist, aligning circularity with the business vision.
  • An expert in regulations, anticipating and responding to new European obligations.
  • A driver of innovation in materials, processes, design and business models.

A comprehensive, flexible course based on training 'pills'

The CETM course is structured into 10 modules and 50 training pills that combine theory, practice and multimedia resources for a dynamic learning experience:

  1. Introduction to the Circular Economy.
  2. Legislative Instruments.
  3. Voluntary Instruments.
  4. Circular Business Models.
  5. Circular Design
  6. New and Sustainable Materials.
  7. Key Enabling Technologies.
  8. Manufacturing Processes.
  9. Transition Strategy towards the Circular Economy.
  10. Closing Module

Each module includes: explanatory document, video, podcast, self-assessment exercises, additional resources, practical exercises based on real work, case study and final test, among others.

You can take the entire course, choose only the modules or pills that interest you most, or even freely access documents, videos, and other materials. A 100% flexible proposal that can be adapted to your needs and interests.

The course is available in English, Spanish, Italian, German, Romanian, Slovenian, and Ukrainian.

The course is based on a micro-credential system: passing the final test for each module allows you to obtain a certificate accrediting the knowledge and skills you have acquired.
