The FURN 5.0 consortium met on 4–5 November in Rimini for its 4th partners’ meeting, hosted by FederlegnoArredo alongside the Ecomondo fair. The discussions centred on two key project outputs currently in development: the FURN5.0 Guide – 15 Applications and the FURN5.0 Self-Assessment Tool.

The FURN5.0 project hosted an Expert Workshop on 2 October 2025, bringing together leading professionals from across Europe to contribute to the development of the project’s upcoming Self-Assessment Tool — a digital solution that will help furniture companies measure and enhance their readiness for Industry 5.0.

The newly published report “D5.1 Skills for Industry 5.0 in the European Wood and Furniture Sector: Labour Market Trends and Enterprise-Level Recommendations", sheds light on the evolving skills landscape of Europe’s wood and furniture sector, exploring how the industry can thrive in the era of Industry 5.0. 

As Europe’s furniture industry moves steadily toward more sustainable, human-centric and resilient models, the FURN5.0 project is preparing a unique tool to inspire and support this transition: an Industry 5.0 Guide for the Furniture Sector.
